TRI FRED CURRENT GROUP WORKOUTS:

Sign up for the Tri Fred yahoo email list as members often post dates/locations for workouts.  This is the BEST way to stay up to date in terms of what other members are doing for workouts.

SWIMS:

For anyone who wants to continue swimming with a group through the fall and winter, there is a group core & swim workout opportunity at the Spotsylvania YMCA at 5:15 AM on Tuesdays & Thursdays.  The workout starts at 5:15 AM in the Spotsy Y gym with about 30 minutes of core strength work and immediately to the pool for 2500-3000 yards of swimming.  The workout is usually done between 6:45 - 7:00 AM.  The Spotsy Y has a great pool with good lighting and plenty of lanes.  Some days might have harder core days and shortened swims, whereas some days might skip the core work and have a longer swim.

Come wearing swimsuit under workout clothes, shoes on, ready to start at 5:15 AM (some members are on tight schedules in the morning and need to start right away).  After the core work, head straight to the pool, strip down and start swimming.  Bring your fluids and pool toys.  A reminder email will be sent out the before as a reminder and in case there is a need for fins/pull buoy etc. If you want to be on the email list, please send an email to John Conway at: johnconway@earthlink.net

There is also a new swim group forming at the King George YMCA on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30-7:00 AM coached by Debi Bernardes.  The King George group will only meet through to the first week of February.

Both swim sessions at the Spotsy YMCA & King George YMCA are free, with the exception that if you don't belong to the YMCA, you have to pay a YMCA drop in fees of $10.00.

RIDES:

Jason Cohen leads bike workouts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  For more information on these rides, sign up to the Tri Fred Yahoo email list (above).

Over the winter months, there is a weekly ride out of King George starting at the King George YMCA on Saturdays at 8:00 AM.  There will be two groups, a quicker group and a slower group, and potentially a C group if necessary.  The ride course is about 45 miles, and the same course will be ridden each week so that people know what they're getting into, and don't get lost.

RUNS:

UCanDoIt Coaching Group (led by Debi Bernardes) will resume their group speed workouts in the spring.  There is a drop in fee of $5.00.  Email Debi for more info.
